COVID-19 Prevention at Symmetrix

Symmetrix is keeping clients and staff safe from COVID-19.

Dear Symmetrix Clients,

June 28th 2021

BC's public health office is winding down restrictions. Their schedule is based on certain milestones for the vaccination and hospitalization rates.

Step 3 will begin when at least 70% of the 18+ population vaccinated with dose 1, along with low case counts and declining COVID-19 hospitalizations. The earliest date we move to Step 3 is July 1

Gyms and recreation facilities
Gyms and recreation facilities that offer individual workouts and personal training sessions can remain open as long as they have a COVID-19 Safety Plan that is strictly followed.

Mask requirements
Masks are currently required for everyone in many public indoor settings but this may change on July 1st. If mask requirements are lifted for indoor space on July 1st, masks will be optional for clients at Symmetrix (Yaletown). Note that masks continue to be recommended during Step 3 of the restart (after July 1st)

A face shield is not a substitute for a mask as it has an opening below the mouth. This includes Sport or fitness facilities when not working out. You could be fined $230 if you do not wear a mask in an indoor public setting, unless you are exempt
