Patrik spent most of his time growing up playing different sports, including basketball and tennis. After overcoming multiple injuries and limiting conditions, he decided to pursue exercise and rehabilitation sciences. Discovering his ability and passion for helping others in similar situations, he refers to himself as the missing piece of the puzzle he needed most.
Health and well-being rank among the top priorities in Patrik's life, and he believes in leading by example. He sees himself as an educator in his clients' lives, bringing authenticity, honesty, empathy, and knowledge to help them grow and improve their lifestyles, rather than merely applying band-aid solutions. Holding his clients accountable, he strives to create opportunities and communities where they are lacking.
Patrik holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. During his time there, he studied topics in clinical kinesiology and high-performance coaching from various perspectives. Additionally, he volunteered with the UBC Performance as a Strength and Conditioning Student Assistant and as a Student Athletic Trainer. His experience includes working with athletes from diverse teams.
In his free time, Patrik enjoys a variety of activities, such as climbing, snow sports, biking, hiking, water sports, Olympic lifting training, kettlebell work, practicing asanas (Yoga), handstands, or simply meditating.
Patrik firmly believes that taking good care of our bodies is essential for a long and healthy life. He encourages exploring our physical potential to face any challenges that come our way. His approach is holistic, evidence-based, and client-centered, considering "bio-psycho-social" factors when designing interventions. With his values, mindset, and experiences, he is a valuable member of the Symmetrix team.
