Patrik Vojtisek

Kinesiology Manager

Patrik spent most of his time growing up playing basketball. He decided to pursue exercise and rehabilitation sciences after he overcame multiple injuries and limiting conditions, and after he discovered his ability and passion in helping others in similar situations.

Patrik is a graduate student at the University of British Columbia where he also finished his Bachelor degree in Kinesiology. He is further studying topics in clinical kinesiology and high performance coaching through a variety of lenses. He volunteers with the UBC Performance as a Strength and Conditioning Graduate Assistant. He has experience working with a variety of athletes from rugby, track and field and cross-country, rowing, golf, swimming and football teams. In his free time, Patrik enjoys outdoor activities, especially water sports, snow sports, biking, and hiking, or you can find him in the gym training olympic weightlifting.

Patrik’s training philosophy is based on his personal experience and evidence-based practices. He believes that we need to take good care of our bodies to be able to live a long and healthy life, and that we need to explore our physical potential to be able to keep up with anything that comes our way. He uses a holistic, client-centered approach considering 'bio-psycho-social' factors in designing interventions. His personal and professional experience with a variety of populations made him a caring, accountable and empowering Kinesiologist at Symmetrix.
