Cassandra Timmenga

Kinesiologist

Born and raised in Vancouver, BC, Cassandra has been active throughout her life. She started exploring the BC mountains through scouting as a youth, and later played field hockey with the Vancouver Hawks Women’s League throughout high school and university. Her interest in health and fitness led her to pursue a degree in kinesiology.

Her credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University and a certificate in Active Health and Rehabilitation. With experience in both chronic and acute injury rehabilitation, Cassandra uses evidence-based exercise prescription to help individuals achieve their health and fitness goals. She is passionate about learning and teaching new ways to help others live their most active and functional lives. She believes in creating a fun, creative, and positive environment for exercise with the end goal of enhancing quality of life.

Cassandra has worked with all ages, from youth to seniors. Cassandra particularly enjoys working with youth, drawing on multiple years of experience as a Scout Leader and youth mentor to incorporate games and challenges into exercise sessions.

Cassandra’s favorite place to be active is outdoors. You can find her riding her bike throughout the city, in the mountains where she enjoys backpacking and climbing, and on the water racing keelboats.
