Sioban’s interest in movement and fitness began with her early involvement in aquatics, where she had hands on experience with teaching swimming and aquatic fitness to a variety of ages and abilities. She is competent working in a team as well as alone to accomplish goals and has considerable knowledge with instruction techniques and progressions. She enjoys teaching upbeat group fitness classes as well as more specialized areas such as range of motion, senior fit and children with disabilities through Canucks Autism Network.
She has recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia. In her years as a student she was an athletic trainer with both men’s and women's varsity rugby teams where she was responsible for treating acute and chronic injuries.
In her free time, Sioban enjoys volunteering as a physiotherapist assistant in treating clientele recovering from spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and MS. Sioban has learned to build professional yet caring relationships with each individual she has worked with and has a genuine passion for proactively assisting others.
