Anaïs became interested in exercise when she was a teenager competing in figure skating and track & field. She loved sciences in high school, which led her to pursue her degree in Kinesiology at Brock University in Ontario.
She was drawn to environmental ergonomics. Anaïs studied how temperature and other environmental conditions affect human performance in sport and work, working with firefighters to see how the heat affected their performance. She also tested apparel for cyclists. In her spare time Anaïs volunteered with the Special Needs Activity Program. She helped kids with disabilities go through a movement program to improve their movement and social skills.
After graduating Anaïs began working at a personal training & active rehab facility, mastering the tools that help people overcome obstacles to achieve their fitness goals. Today she uses her knowledge of assessment and exercise progression to create fitness programs suited to people’s needs.
Not only does Anaïs use exercise to help her clients, she is also dedicated to weight lifting and follows an exercise program herself.
Anais loves making training in the gym fun, and you’ll find her working on her own fitness goals when not training her clients. When she’s not in the gym she loves socializing with friends, hiking, cycling and skiing.
