Andreja Kovacevic-Cikes

Kinesiologist, Team Leader

With Symmetrix since 2002, Andreja is deeply rooted in the science of human movement. Her meticulous assessments and programming provide her clients with effective, long-lasting results. She has completed three full marathons and four half-marathons. Andreja’s energy and contagious laugh keep her clients motivated and coming back for more!

As Symmetrix Team Leader, Andreja is responsible for developing protocols for all areas of our service delivery, including assessments and exercise programming. She provides continuing education to our team of Kinesiologists and thrives on keeping Symmetrix standards the highest in our industry. She is also a course instructor for the Functional Assessment of the Spine and Extremities offered through the BC Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK).  

Andreja has over 18 years experience in musculoskeletal assessment, active rehab, corrective exercise, movement assessment,  personal training and pool therapy. She is certified int he following: Functional Movement Systems (FMS Levels I/II), Kinesio-taping, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), Functional Capacity Evaluation (Matheson System) and TRX.

Andreja holds a B.Sc. in Kinesiology and a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Gerontology from Simon Fraser University. She sat on the executive board for the BC Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) for 10 years and held the position of President, as well as served on the executive board for the Canadian Kinesiology Alliance from 2006 – 2008.
