Active Isolated Stretching

Single Sessions $80/hour
12 Session Package $720

Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) is a manual method of stretching that is effective in postural restoration, athletic performance enhancement, injury prevention, stress symptom relief and rehabilitation.

Therapy is based on a passive 2-second hold of a stretch with slight over-pressure of 1-2 lbs. This manual treatment creates a mechanical, bioelectrical and biochemical response that promotes vascular and lymphatic circulation, increased oxygenation, removal of the body’s toxins and a more responsive nervous system.

Aqua Therapy

Ideal for the acute or orthopedic injured person, aqua therapy provides a no impact option for exercise rehabilitation programming. Water supports the body, reduces joint stress, and provides resistance and assistance to movement. Clients improve mobility, strength, and function during the healing process as the Kinesiologist progresses them in exercise intensity.

Rates for Aqua Therapy are the same as our 1-to-1 gym programs. Symmetrix has access to many of the pools in the Lower Mainland.  Facility fees for the client and Kinesiologist are additional to the session rate.

Travel fees additional.

Kinesiotaping

Kinesiotape is a thin, stretchy, elastic cotton strip with a hypoallergenic adhesive.  It is almost identical to human skin in both thickness and elasticity, which allows it to be worn without binding, constricting or restriction of your movement.  Depending on application, the tape will create either inhibition or firing of muscle fibers supporting tissues.

Kinesiotape has a comprehensive array of therapeutic benefits. Because it can be left on for up to 5 days, these therapeutic benefits are available to the affected area 24 hours a day, significantly accelerating the healing process.

10 Minute Application Appointment:
$20 + $1.00/ sq inch of Kinesiotape applied

When Kinesiotape is applied during a paid 1-to-1 session, the client is charged $1.00/ sq inch of Kinesiotape applied.

  • Improved Circulation and Lymphatic Drainage
  • Reduced Inflammation and Bruising
  • Structural Support for Weak or Injured Muscles and Soft Tissue
